Ahead of Apple: Fujitsu announced the world's first tablet with a fingerprint reader

Japanese mobile operator KDDI introduced a tablet computer Arrows Tab FJT21 production Fujitsu. New product appears on the market in Europe, but pay attention to it makes not the ordinary list of characteristics.

Fujitsu Arrows Tab FJT21 built on a high-performance single-chip system, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and communicates LTE. Display tablet is made by technology IPS, it is characterized by a diagonal of 10.1 inches and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Screen protection from external influences provides tempered glass Gorilla Glass 3.

The amount of memory is 2 GB of built-in flash memory – 64 GB. In the configuration of the tablet includes wireless modules Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, the aforementioned fingerprint sensor, two cameras and a resolution of 8 megapixels 1.2, a slot for memory cards microSDXC. A separate line refers to support for digital TV – TV antenna that connects to the port of Micro-USB, is a list of device accessories, as well as a pen.


Overall dimensions of the tablet – 261 x 169 x 8.9 mm, weight (with battery capacity of 9600 mAh) – 519 grams. Housing Fujitsu Arrows Tab FJT21 protected from dust and water according to the requirements of the rating IPX5 and IPX8.

New on sale in the Japanese market in November, the cost of the device is not reported.
