Huawei Honor 7 was officially launched in India on October 7th. The handset comes with Android 6.0 Lollipop pre-installed out of the box.
There’s some good news if you’re a proud owner of the Huawei Honor 7. The handset is now ready to get the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India.
There’s a catch here: to get the update on your handset, you have to register with your IMEI number as well as the software version of the handset. After registration, the company says the update will reach your device within 24-48 hours.
The latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings a number of interesting features on board, including Doze, which put your smartphone in a deep sleep state, cutting off the apps from the network and improves the battery life for the handset. Furthermore, users can restrict the permissions given to an app when its installed — it’s definitely a useful feature as many apps request access to this which it doesn’t use, putting the user’s privacy at stake.
The Huawei Honor 7 ships with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a Kirin 935 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16/64GB of internal storage, an 8MP front-facing camera and a 20MP main camera for photos and videos.
Let us know if you’ve received the update on your Honor 7 and how good it is.
