Philips has announced a new lamp Hue BR30, managed to iOS and Android

Philips has announced a LED lamp Philips Hue (BR30), which can be controlled via mobile devices. The new model is focused illuminates the room, while the original lamps Philips Hue provide omni-directional coverage.


Luminous flux Philips Hue BR30 is 600 lumens, color temperature – 2000K, power – 8.5 watts. The American version of the lamp operates on 120 volts.


In order to control the lamp, you need to download a special application from the App Store or Google Play. After installing the program will be able to choose any shade of 16 million colors and the brightness of the bulb. This product is designed for 15,000 hours of operation and can save up to 80% less energy than standard bulbs.

Philips Hue (BR30) will be on sale in the U.S. later this year. The European version of the lamp will be called Philips Hue (GU10).


Price of a light bulb, as well as for the original Philips Hue, will be $ 60, but for $ 200 you can become the owner of the kit, which will include three lamps and a wireless bridge to bring together up to 50 lamps.
