ARM Cortex-M23 and Cortex-M33 are the new processor platform for the Internet of Things

You probably know that the majority of mobile processors for smartphones and tablets are made by ARM. The company pays special attention to the platform Internet of Things to expand its business in other market niches. The new processor ARM Cortex-M23 and Cortex-M33 are new processors for smart gadgets, which were presented at a special event in Santa Clara, California. Both chips are the first representatives of a new range that uses the architecture ARMv8-M, forward AndroidHeadlines.
The main advantages of the new processors ARM’s are associated with speed, power consumption, security and low cost of production. The British manufacturer has tried to strike a balance between all of these features in ARM Cortex-M23 and Cortex-M33. Both chips for smart gadgets are 32-bit and are based on innovative technology ARM TrustZone. Thanks to her they ensure a secure connection between them and peripherals.

Unlike M33, the new processor ARM Cortex-M23 is designed specifically for devices that require the lowest possible power consumption. So it will ensure longer battery life, and the rate is left in the background. The first companies that have shown interest to use its processors in smart gadgets are Analog Devices, Microchip, NXP, Nuvoton, Renesas, Silicon Labs and STMicroelectronics. Perhaps soon they will be joined by other manufacturers.
