Intel Launches 8 New Skylake & Broadwell Processors

Skylake
This week Intel has unveiled a few new processors it has added to its range of Broadwell and Skylake ranges, ahead of next year’s CES 2016 technology show that will take place in the first week in January where hardware equipped with the new processors is expected to be unveiled and showcased.
The new range of Intel processors include two desktop and six mobile processors that have been specifically designed for laptops and lower power hardware. Some of the new processors are based on Intel’s latest 6th generation “Skylake” architecture.
Although there are also a few processors that expand the older 5th-generation “Broadwell” family as well :
– The Intel Celeron 3855U is a 1.6 GHz dual-core Broaswell processor and the Celeron 3955U is a 2 GHz dual-core option.
– Intel’s Core i3-6098P and Core i5-6402P chips are new Skylake desktop-class processors.
– The 2.2 GHz Core i5-5200DU and 2.4 GHz Core i7-5500DU chips are Broadwell-based dual-core desktop processors which seem at first glance to be similar to the existing Core i5-5200U and Core i7-5500U.
– And the 2.3 GHz Core i5-6198DU and 2.5 GHz Core i7-6498DU are Skylake chips seem to be variants of the existing Core i5-6200U and Core i7-6500U. They’re even the same price as those chips. It’s not clear at this point what difference there is between a “U” chip and a “DU” model.
AS more details and hardware are announced over the coming week we will keep you updated.
