Previously, Huawei Honor smartphones were available through online retailers in India, but it seems things are about to change now.
The company has entered into a partnership with Zopper, a mobile commerce firm, to sell the Honor smartphones offline throughout the country. The app allows users to check the price of the product offline and pick it up from the retailer.
This will help the Chinese firm boost its market share in the region as users will be able to pick up the smartphones through brick-and-mortar stores. The collaboration will see Huawei Honor smartphones reaching out to 267 outlets in Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Vellore, Pondicherry and Bengaluru.
“We have decided to introduce Honor smartphones in the offline sales channel, which starts with the tie-up with Zopper, which allow customers to choose the retailer offering the best price for a product,” Huawei India President of Consumer Business Group Allen Wang said in a statement.
The pricing will remain the same for the handsets available online, but customers will be able to get 5 percent cashback on Honor smartphones till December 24th. Furthermore, customers will also get free one year accidental and liquid damage bundled with Honor devices purchased through Zopper.
