Even when the project does not meet Crowdfunding their financial goals, going, for which it can still run prove to be promising and conceive eventually succeed. This is particularly taken case we are talking about a project called iKubu Ltd Backtracker. This is very useful for the development of cyclists who spend every day in the saddle N-tion of time on the way, say, to work and back home, as well as for those for whom this cycling – and there is the work itself, such as couriers. Although the South African company has not gained success in the field kraudfaningovom for your project in another company with a known name – Garmin – drew attention to the daring beginners and simply bought them. It seems that African developers are not upset by such a development, and therefore the winner remains. Moreover, the project is not dead, but was continued, and is likely to be fully realized, albeit under the brand of another manufacturer.
The system uses two modules Backtracker, which are mounted on the “tube” – one mounted on the seat post, and the other is mounted on the steering wheel. Rear module uses a radar antenna on the 24 GHz to “browse” for the presence of foreign vehicles rear of the cyclist, and to report on these, when they are approaching from behind. When it is detected that one (or more) of the vehicle, the module sends a signal to the front module via Bluetooth LE. That in turn will notify the rider of the vehicle / ies approaching / -ihsya behind using LED display. The rear unit also has a built-in back light that blinks more quickly when the vehicle approaches to the bike.
Despite the fact that iKubu not satisfy their ambitions in terms of fundraising, the company will still proceed to the final, stage of production Backtracker. Apparently, perseverance played an important role in the fact that on January 14 in Garmin announced that it acquired the shares iKubu.
