The company “Electronic Systems” Alkotel “is preparing for an early release of a new secure smartphone teXet X-driver, who works on the operating system of Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 chip clocked at 1 GHz with Adreno 203 graphics processor.
Protected smartphone X-driver corresponds to the highest standard of protection IP68, that is completely protected against ingress of dust and dirt, and is capable of safe dive into the water to a depth of 1 meter and still have the normal functioning of immersion in water.
In addition, the smartphone is ready to withstand drops and shocks without harm to health. The body uses steel plates that give additional protection, and a 4-inch capacitive IPS-display with a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels glass protects the Japanese Asahi Glass.
The smartphone also has 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of flash memory which can be expanded with cards microSD / SDHC memory by another 32GB, 0.3 megapixel front and 8 megapixel main camera with autofocus and flash.
The battery capacity of 2500 mAh, according to the manufacturer, will provide up to 6 hours of talk time and 450 hours of standby time (when using networks 2G) and up to 8 hours for Internet surfing (in the Wi-Fi network or 3G).
teXet X-driver is able to work with two SIM-cards and modules equipped with GPS, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1, FM-radio and LED flashlight. Dimensions of new items are 139 × 73,5 × 18 mm, and weight – 265 grams. Sales teXet X-driver will start in September 2013.
