According to the forecasts of the analytical agency NPD DisplaySearch, in 2014, the supply tablets globally will total 364 million units, which is twice more than the shipment of conventional and ultra-thin laptops (177 million units). Interestingly, the proportion of tablets with screens with a diagonal of 8 inches or less will be 59% of the market. But by 2015 this figure could increase to 63%.
