Research agency IDC released data on global sales tablets in the II quarter of 2013. The experts first noted the rapid decline in the proportion iPad, for the year decreased as much as a 60% to 32%. But the position of the main competitors kupertintsev markedly increased.
In the II quarter of last year, the Korean Samsung controlled only 7.6% of the market, and in 2013 – already 18%. The third-ranked Taiwanese ASUS to 4.5% (previous year – 3.3%), followed by China’s Lenovo with the index 3.3% (1.3%), and rounded out the top five Acer – 3,1% (1 , 4%).
It is interesting to note that the category of other manufacturers tablets grew from 26% to nearly 40%. This suggests that many users by and large do not care who is the manufacturer of the tablet.
As for the distribution of operating systems, the undisputed leader here is the Android with the index 62.6%. In turn Windows RT is not popular and is satisfied with 0.5%. A little better with the full Windows 8, which accounts for 4% of sales tablets.
