Research firm Strategy Analytics has published its latest report on the state of the tablet market in the second quarter of 2013.
In this period, the global market has shipped 51.7 million tablets. Compared to the same period last year recorded an increase in supply by 43%. In the second quarter, the market was dominated by tablets running OS Android, which account for 67% of all deliveries. Took second place in rankings device with iOS – 28%, the third – the model running Windows – 4,5%. In this case, an increase in the supply of Android-plates, while the number of shipped devices iPad (14,6 million), decreased by 14% compared to the same period last year.
About 70% of the tablet market (36.2 million units) occupy branded solutions. Compared to the same period last year, it increased by 47%.
