U.S. intelligence agencies, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have banned their employees to use computers made by Lenovo. The reason for this was found in the accessories and software holes and vulnerabilities, but the results of the tests were classified.
According to experts, interested parties can use the discovered vulnerabilities for remote access to the data of employees. At the same time, not all the intelligence services are staffed by professionals who have the right skills to detect these types of attacks.
Furthermore, for testing requires complex and costly equipment. According to the newspaper infosecurity, the ban does not mean that Lenovo computers can not be used in all state structures – it is only those units that operate secret data.
