LG has officially unveiled the tablet G Pad 8.3

After a series of leaks South Korean company LG has decided not to pull the IFA exhibition in Berlin in 2013 and introduced its newest tablet G Pad 8.3 . According to the company, this is the first 8-inch gadget that was unusual screen with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels.


It is worth noting that the new – only the third tablet LG. Prior to that, the Korean company presented only Optimus Pad in 2011 and Optimus Pad LTE in 2012. The unit received a design similar to the flagship smartphone LG G2 . Note that the letter «G» in the model name indicates its membership in the top segment and 8.3 – this is the exact size of the screen diagonal.


Confirmed all previously received information about the device. LG G Pad 8.3 is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory (probably, there is a slot for memory cards, but this has not yet reported).

Device has received and two cameras – 1.3 MP front and 5-megapixel primary and battery capacity of 4600 mAh. LG G 8.3 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, its dimensions are 216,8 x 126,5 x 8,3 mm and weighs 338 grams.


The tablet will be available in white and black colors of the case. Global release LG G Pad 8.3 is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, but the cost of the device is not specified.
