U.S. mobile operator Virgin Mobile has announced the release of a new smartphone on the market – ZTE Reef, the first waterproof IPX7 standard smartphone company (of course, there is a view of Virgin Mobile), which is a guaranteed way to dive to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes without any harm. By filling the gadget as you’d expect, was typical of budget and performance stands out among other similar devices.

ZTE Reef is equipped with a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 5 megapixel main camera with HD video recording, front-megapixel camera, a single-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, WLAN Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a slot for microSD memory up to 32 GB.

At the request of Virgin Mobile, the battery capacity of 1650 mAh battery should last for 9 hours of talk time or 6.8 hours of standby time (it is not clear what is meant – perhaps while using the included screen).

The cost was $ 150 smartphone. ZTE Reef is sold unlocked and without a service contract, so he may well be one of the options when choosing an inexpensive secure smartphone – we have no doubt that soon the gadget will be available online on overseas markets.
