Last week, the head of the NVIDIA noted that the tablets with Windows RT , working on the basis of its mobile chip Tegra 3, did not bring the expected benefits of the company, and then it was announced that ASUS has officially been on the production and promotion of products based on this operating system. However, a Microsoft spokesperson told CNET reporters resource:

Windows division is still interested in developing a platform ARM.
We expect to launch a number of new ARM-of based Windows-sets, which will be released later this year.

At at least one large start WinRT-product this year – Surface RT tablet second generation (possibly two variants – with 7 – and 10-inch display). By the way, NVIDIA has confirmed work on a new Microsoft Surface .

It should also be noted that ARM is not a synonym for Windows RT for Microsoft. In addition to tablet platform, the company has and the operating system Windows Phone for smartphones, which is also designed to chip ARM. Perhaps that’s it, and continue to develop Microsoft.
